"Ode to Kenyon" - time to pay up
Cecil Taylor

You may recall that after Kenyon Coleman generated a whopping 10 solo tackles in Week 1, I promised that I would pen an "Ode to Kenyon" if he collected 10 solos in the following 3 weeks combined. Coleman came through.

After a sluggish 2 solo tackles in Week 2, Coleman added 6 in Week 3 and 5 in Week 4. He now leads the league in tackles by DLs, with 23, and is on pace for 92 (the typical DL league leader records about 65).

So it's time to come through with some semblance of poetry. Please bear with me. But you will learn a fun fact about Kenyon along the way!

Kenyon, O Kenyon, your tackles made me cringe
To know your stats were piling up like big rocks at Stonehenge.
Kenyon, O Kenyon, your stats should make you blush
And same for us who doubted you, our words you made us flush.

Kenyon, O Kenyon, you've laid new claim to fame
You're only known for strident words you gave your beloved game.
You gave to us a mighty phrase, our spirits to arouse,
By shouting up into the sky, "We must protect this house!"

Yes, Under Armour gave you cash but better gave you fame
Although you got no credit then so we would know your name.
But mighty deeds throughout four weeks have caused us all to foster
A notion to forget the past and add you to our rosters.
