Heroes and Zeroes of Week 12
Mike Harrison
Lotsa games, lotsa plays, lotsa potential Heroes this week! 'course, as
always there were Zeroes to be outed. Patrick Kerney's quartet of big plays
meant he was the Hero of the Week. It was really tough to be a Hero this time as
double-digit tacklers Gary Brackett, Kirk Morrison, Von Hutchins, Richard
Marshall and Keith Bulluck would agree. Double sackers Greg Ellis, Aaron Kampman,
Derrick Burgess, Will Witherspoon, and Brandon Chillar also failed to reach Hero
status, as did Walt Harris with 2 interceptions.
Scoring IDPs were Adam Carriker with a safety, Tully Banta-Cain with a
game-ending fumble recovery for a TD, and Terence Newman, Darren Sharper, Dwight
Smith and Chad Greenway each with 6 on an interception return.
