Heroes and Zeros for Week 13
Mike Harrison

After yesterday we only have 4 weeks left to celebrate our Heroes and denigrate our Zeroes, IDP fans!  Heroes were in abundance this week and choices were difficult.  Zeroes, as always, were all too easy to come up with. Our 10 Z-men totaled 5 tackles and 1 assist so they were even worse than usual. Possible Heroes who didn't make the cut included double digit tacklers Demeco Ryans and Josh Bullocks, multiple sackers Greg Ellis and Jared Allen, double picker Roderick Hood as well as Joey Porter and Marquand Manual who had a sack and an iinterception each.  Putting points on the board were Michael Lehan with a touchdown on a fumble return, Richard Marshall, Roderick Hood and Mike McKenzie with interception returns, and Will Smith and Angelo Crowell who each put up a safety.

Heroes Last Week's Stats Comments
David Harris, NYJ 8 tackles, 1 sack, 1 fumble forced, 1 fumble recovered What an impact he's had since getting his chance!  Poor Johnathon Vilma will never again see a start as a Jet.
Jason Taylor, MIA 5 tackles, 2 sacks, 1 pass defensed Nice to see an old favorite get back on his game.
Patrick Willis, SF 17 tackles, 1 assist Patrick led the lreague in tackles again, what a surprise.  2 Heroes in a row for him.
Lofa Tatupu, SEA 11 tackles, 3 interceptions, 3 passes defensed No loafing for Lofa as his 3 picks of Feeley led the Seahawks to a close win over the Eagles.  He's the Hero of the Week.
Julian Peterson, SEA 6 tackles, 1 sack, 1 interception, 1 pass defensed Julian grabbed the tackles and picks that eluded Tatupu.
Mario Williams, HOU 3 tackles, 4 assists, 2.5 sacks Mario's been hot for 3 weeks now and finally made the Hero list.
D.J. Williams, DEN 13 tackles, 3 assists, 1 fumble recovered Despite his best efforts the Broncos suffered a terrible loss to Oakland.
Shawne Merriman, SD 6 tackles, 3 sacks, 1 fumble recovered Bagman of the week, Shawne combined with Cromartie to lead San Diego over Kansas City.
Angelo Cromartie, SD 5 tackles, 2 interceptions, 2 passes defensed Angelo is on the proverbial merry-go-round as he's made the weekly Heroes and Zeroes list for 5 weeks in a row.  This is Hero #3.
Brian Urlacher, CHI 10 tackles, 4 assists, 1 interception, 1 pass defensed Another old favorite, Brian's play brought back fond memories.
Zeroes Last Week's Stats Comments
Eric Barton, NYJ blanked Barton was invisible in the Jets win.
Kenyon Coleman, NYJ blanked You couldn't find Coleman in the box score - or on the field.
Daryl Tapp, SEA 1 assist He tapped out with this poor performance.
Dwight Smith, MIN 1 tackle He's got an anonymous name and had an anonymous game.
Chad Greenway, MIN blanked Greenway followed up his fine game against New York with a total stinker.
Ben Leber, MIN 1 tackle Hard to see how the Vikings beat Detroit so easily when 3 of them were Zeroes.
Fernando Bryant, DET blanked Bryant injured his right hand just after halftime and didn't return.
Dre Bly, DEN 1 tackle Bly was no help to Denver as they went down to defeat.
Barret Ruud, TB 1 tackle Ruud got off to a hot start early but has drastically cooled off.
Tanard Jackson, TB 1 tackle Lucky for Jackson the Bucs didn't need him to beat the Saints.
