Heroes and Zeroes of Week 14
Mike Harrison
Man, it was a tough week out there fans. Top performances were difficult to
locate while bottoms were all too easy. Let's hope this was a one week
aberration - we've still got 3 weeks left and need more tackles, sacks and
interceptions.
Marcus Trufant's interception hat trick topped everyone as he was the Hero of
the Week. Trent Cole and Quinn Pitcock were the only double sackers who failed
to be Heroes, Daven Holly and Jon Beason the only double digit tacklers who
missed.
Putting up scores were George Wilson with a fumble return and Will Blackmon
with a fumble recovery for touchdowns, Fakhir Brown, Clint Ingram, Kevin
Williams and Marcus Trufant with touchdowns on interceptions, and Josh Scobey
and Michael Coe each with a safety.

|
Phillip Daniels, WAS |
1 tackle, 1 assist |
He didn't do much but the 'skins didn't need him to keep their playoff hopes
alive. |
|
Corey Williams, GB |
blanked |
Zilch. Zip. Nada. No box score for Williams. Like Smith Barney, he
Earned his Zero. |
|
Kabeer Gbaja-Biamila, GB |
1 tackle |
KGB's sacking wasn't needed as the Pack trounced Oakland. |
|
Takeo Spikes, PHI |
1 tackle, 3 assists |
Spikes didn't do much; neither did the Eagles whose playoff chances were
just about ended by the Giants. |
|
Reggie Nelson, JAC |
1 tackle, 1 assist |
He played like Ricky Nelson. |
|
Julius Peppers, CAR |
1 tackle, 1 assist |
Peppers has really had a down year. He's only hit "The Mark" 3 times, and
has had 7 games with 2.5 points or less in all formats. |
|
Keith Bulluck, TEN |
1 tackle, 1 pass defensed |
The Titans hit a wall and blew a 2 TD lead late while home against San
Diego. Bulluck wasn't much help. |
|
Michael Lewis, SF |
1 tackle |
Lewis' recent hot streak came to an end as he thudded on to our Zero list
with this stinker. |
|
Leroy Hill, SEA |
1 assist |
Not even 1 tackle? No passes defensed? Did he really show up? |
|
Derrick Johnson, KC |
1 tackle |
It was hard to locate Johnson in the boxscore; hard on the field too. |
