Studs and Duds - Week 15
Mike Harrison

Only 2 weeks left and another interesting one in the books IDP lovers! I hope you were paying attention to Cecil's Starter Advice this week. He had 7 of our 10 Studs nabbed - including Will Demps! I'm a BIG Jint fan and I didn't give Demps much chance to Hit the Mark - but he smashed through it and the Birds. Too bad the rest of the Giants were asleep at the switch.

Perhaps even better our Leader gave only 1 player from Jacksonville a rating above a C (Rashean Mathis in Big Play). Guess what - only 1 Jaguar Hit the Mark. No, it wasn't Rashean but he steered you off all Jaguars. Pacman Jones, Chris Finnegan and Chris Hope of TEN trounced Jacksonville all by themselves as each had a return for a TD.

Other return TDs were posted by Demarcus Ware and Trent Cole with interceptions and Antonio Smith with a fumble. Rod Coleman, Leonard Little, Trevor Pryce, Ricky Manning and Tully Banta-Cain each had 2 sacks but failed to make our Stud List.

Studs Last Week's Stats Comments
Zach Thomas, Mia 11 tackles, 10 assists, 2 fumbles forced Mr. Tackle grabbed the highest number posted so far this season as he hit the Stud list for the 3rd time..
Chris Hope, Ten 9 tackles, 1 assist, 1 interception, 1 pass defensed, 1 touchdown If everything breaks perfectly TEN could make the playoffs after starting a horrible 1-6.  Chris is a big reason why there's hope for the Titans as he starred in hitting his 3rd Stud list this season.
Pacman Jones, Ten 3 tackles, 1 assist, 0.5 sacks, 1 interception, 3 passes defensed, 1 touchdown Pacman, Hope and Finnegan - Tennessee's 3 Touchdown Musketeers helped the Titans keep their unlikely playoff hopes alive for another week.
Napolean Harris, Min 3 tackles, 1 sack, 1 interception, 1 pass defensed, 1 fumble forced Napolean made a lot of plays but all in vain as the Vikings postseason hopes took a major hit.
Aaron Kampman, GB 3 tackles, 4 assists, 2 sacks Big Aaron continued his fine play and now has piled up 12.5 sacks for the year.  Like Thomas and Hope this is his 3rd Stud listing.
Cullen Jenkins, GB 4 tackles, 1 assist, 3 sacks, 1 fumble recovered If Cecil had called this one I would suspect him of having Second Sight or something.  We're talking about Cullen Jenkins here - 21 tackles and 3.5 sacks all season with a Hit the Mark rate of zero in all formats.  Huge game from out of nowhere.
Champ Bailey, Den 3 tackles, 1 assist, 2 interceptions, 2 passes defensed Seems like we have one every week - Bailey took off his chump outfit from last week's Dud listing and moved back to champ status with a top performance.
Brian Dawkins, Phil 11 tackles, 1 assist, 1 interception, 2 passes defensed, 2 fumbles forced Double digit tackles?  An interception?  2 forced fumbles?  Except for Will Demps below Brian seemed to have more IDP stats than the entire NY D.
Will Demps, NYG 5 tackles, 1 assist, 1 sack, 1 interception, 1 pass defensed, 1 fumble forced Will was all over the field making plays.  The rest of the Giants D played like midgets today.
Demarcus Ware, Dal 4 tackles, 1 assist, 0.5 sacks, 1 interception, 1 pass defensed, 1 fumble forced Demarcus led the Cowboy D in their comeback win over Atlanta.  Too bad I only started him on 1 team this week.
Duds Last Week's Stats Comments
Julius Peppers, Car 2 tackles Like the rest of the Panthers, Julius seems to have hit a wall.  This is his 2nd Dud listing in a row, and 4th of the season.
Joey Porter, Pit 1 tackle His teammates made so many plays in their blasting of the Browns that there weren't any left for Joey.
Andra Davis, Cle 1 tackle, 2 assists, 1 pass defensed My sister Andrea's name is close to his.  Her game is better.
Willie McGinest, Cle 2 assists Gee - what a great game.  No solo tackles.  Tell me again why I started him.
Charles Grant, NO 2 tackles, 1 assist Familiar story for Charles.  Get a sack and he'll Hit the Mark, get shut out and he ends up a Dud.
A.J. Hawk, GB 1 tackle Guess it had to happen sooner or later.  A.J. finally put up a dud.
Adewale Ogunleye, Chi 1 tackle, 1 assist Adewale's poor play was a good thing for the Bear anouncers.  His name doesn't exactly roll off your tongue and they hardly had to mention it the entire game.
Alex Brown, Chi 1 tackle Tough to find Alex on the field today.
D.J. Williams, Den 2 tackles, 1 assist D.J. had been at or near Hitting the Mark in 6 of the last 7 weeks.  Guess all good things must come to an end.
John Abraham, Atl 1 tackle Geez - I waited almost the whole year for John and he "rewards" me with 1 whole tackle?  Big -------deal.
